Over the past 10 years, the mobile phone industry has changed dramatically, with the new developments taking the market from strength to strength. The technological advances have led to smartphones having the ability to perform the same tasks as PC and laptops, such as producing documents and playing on your favourite games. With more gamers now turning on their smartphones, here are 8 great examples available on the market.

HTC Desire Eye

With a pixel density of 423ppi, a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a full 5.2 inch HD screen, the HTC model is one of the market leaders for gaming. The crisp quality of the images make it perfect for playing gamers ranging from GTA V to FIFA 2015. You can also alter the brightness of the screen, making it much easier to play in a variety of different locations and conditions.

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact

Available for around £349 if you are looking to buy the phone outright, the Xperia Z3 compact is one of the cheaper options on the market. The Z3 comes with a fine array of specifications, including a Full HD screen. One of the Z3’s strengths is its long battery life, making it perfect for gamers, especially when paired with its 801 Snapdragon processor.

Samsung Galaxy S5

It is no surprise that the Galaxy S5 has been one of the dominate figures on the smartphone market this year. The battery life on the phone is incredible, making it perfect for anyone who likes playing poker online, as your phone won’t cut out half way through a game! With a 5.1 inch screen and a Snapdragon 801 CPU, partnered with a core processor, the phone is the total model, making it perfect for gaming.

Huawei Honor 6

Although the Huawei name is renowned on the world market like others mentioned on this list, the specifications and price speak for themselves. The model comes with a fantastic battery life, full HD Screen and a fast processor. But its best asset is the price, a bargain £249.

iPhone 6 Plus

There is always a sense of pandemonium when Apple release a new product and the hype was evident with the release of the iPhone 6. Although for an outright purchase you would be looking at a fee close to £650, depending on your storage size, the smartphone is an all-round brilliant piece of kit. The 1920 x 1080 full HD 5.5 inch screen makes gaming fun with its clear graphics, hence why some sites like iphone casino have been developed for this particular Apple phone.

Motorola Moto G

The Motorola Moto G only offers 1GB of RAM in comparison to 3GB on its competitor’s handsets. But it does have quad-core Snapdragon, 32GB of storage and an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit, the Moto G is perfect for games like Batman Arkham City Lockdown. With a 5 inch 294-ppi pixel density screen with 720 x 1280 image resolution, the handset also has great graphics, making it ideal for gaming. But its best feature is the price – £149 – making it more than half the price against some of the other smartphones on the market.

Google Nexus 5

With a 4.95 inch screen partnered with an impressive 445-ppi pixelated 1080 x 1920 resolutions, you get the best of clarity and size with the Google Nexus 5. The internal storage stands at 16GB on the basic model, but an additional 16GB can be added, making it perfect if you enjoy story-mode games as there is plenty of room to store your progress. But the Nexus 5 only offers a basic 2GB, where as its competitors have at least 3GB. The smartphone is Google’s flagship model, offering users an impressive Snapdragon 800 quad-core processing chip, making it suitable for games of poker and the likes of Clash of Clans.

Although the handset is one of the more expensive on the market at £479, the LG G3 is certainly worth the money. The phone has a generously sized 5.5 screen, which is much larger than the majority of handsets available at the minute. In comparison to the Samsung Galaxy which offers 440 ppi, the G3 has an outstanding 538ppi, similar to the quality of a glossy art magazine. The smartphone is also relatively lightweight too, making it perfect for gaming as it is easy to hold in your hand.
